TWO PART HARDBACK
A two-part hardback gallery wraparound lampshade is constructed by using an arc pattern and a strip equal to the circumference of the arc pattern bottom.
MATERIALS NEEDED:

Wrap two of the bottom wire rings individually with Hug Snug (twice around if you plan to sew).

Cut out the arc pattern and the strip from lampshade material (leave a generous back seam allowance if wire wrapped twice around). Glue the arc portion of the lampshade to the wire rings using one of the Hug Snug-wrapped bottom rings.

Glue the strip onto the remaining two bottom wire rings. When the glue is dry match up the back seams of the two sections putting the Hug Snug-wrapped bottom rings together.

From the inside of the shade sew the two sections together using invisible stitches and matching thread. The Hug Snug-wrapped wires may also be glued together and covered with braid.

This method allows the lampshade crafter to make a number of sizes that resemble a full frame without the bother of finding just the right lampshade frame size. The gallery will accept many trims and borders that require use on a straight strip because they will not go around a curved slated surface. This style shade can be decorated either country, victorian or traditional. The decorative techniques applicable to this construction method are endless.
